Heavy rains in different parts of Karachi
Heavy rains have started again in different parts of Karachi while the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of weakening the system from today.
It rained in Federal B Area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13D, Ayesha Manzil, Meteorology, Lyari Expressway and surrounding areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rains in Sindh have started weakening while the rains have turned to Punjab and Balochistan.
The department has forecast heavy rains in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on August 26 and heavy rains tomorrow.
Heavy rains are expected to cause flooding in Nalla Lei and flooding in Pothohar rain gutters. In the last 24 hours, 102 mm of rain was recorded in Rawalpindi and 98 mm in Islamabad.
Heavy rains are also expected in Balochistan for the next two days.
It should be noted that due to heavy rains in Karachi on August 25, most areas of the city were inundated while 4 children were killed in different accidents.
Power supply has also been suspended in many areas since the previous day after the rains. After torrential rains across Sindh, rain emergency was declared and holidays of all institutions were canceled.
Heavy rains are continuing in different cities of Sindh including Karachi in the sixth spell of monsoon. More rains are also forecast in many cities including Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin and Tharparkar.
