Decision to form teams to monitor Corona SOPs implementation from May 8 to 16
It was decided to form teams to monitor the implementation of Corona SOPs from May 8 to 16 in Islamabad.
The meeting was chaired by NCOC Chief Asad Umar and National Coordinator Lieutenant General Hamoodul Zaman. The meeting decided to form monitoring teams at federal, provincial and district levels to ensure implementation of SOPs during the Eid holidays (May 8-16).
Earlier, from May 6 to 18, it was decided to close tourist spots, parks, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants, close tourist destinations for locals and foreigners, and close northern routes.
According to the decision made in the NCOC, people will not be allowed to go to the beach in Karachi, but residents of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir will be allowed to return, while petrol pumps, medical stores, grocery stores, Bakery and food item stores will be exempt.
Monitoring teams set up at federal, provincial and district levels will ensure implementation of all the above orders. The move comes amid fears of a rapid spread of the corona epidemic.
