A message on the WhatsApp cannot be forwarded more than 5 times
London (ninety two news) WhatsApp announces not to forward any single message more than five times.
It is no longer possible to forward a message more than five times to Watts, a move that is being taken to prevent the spread of fake news.
The policy was implemented in India six months ago. But now this policy will apply to all users.
Up to 256 users can be added to a WhatsApp group. This means that if a user forwards a message to five such groups, the message will be able to send up to 1280 users.
Earlier, the message could have been forwarded to more than 5120 users.
The announcement comes at a time when various services, including Facebook and the WhatsApp, have been blamed for helping spread fake news.
Last week, Facebook announced that it had removed 500 pages from Central Europe, Ukraine, and Eastern European countries that were reportedly destroyed.
